| New account! Moved from ~xpirateobsessedx Hello and welcome to my humble dA profile. I'm Katherine, aka Kit, and aka Obsessed to those who knew me quite a while ago. You're welcome to call me any of those previously mentioned names, or even spiffingsailor if you feel like it. I'm a volunteer at the Maritime Museum of San Diego, with over five-hundred hours under my metaphorical belt. Though we are all One Crew, I'm proud to say that I've sailed aboard HMS Surprise as Sail Crew on three occasions (and counting). Aside from the obvious sailing obsessions, I am also an Anglophile. That's really all there is to say about that. I enjoy British TV, highest on the list being Doctor Who, The Thin Blue Line, Blackadder, and A Bit of Fry and Laurie. As for American television, I'm quite fond of NCIS, Monk, Psych, and In Plain Sight. For readings, I like historical fiction and nonfiction relating to, you guessed it, the Age of Sail. I'm also a fan of the Hitchhiker's Guide series and Shakespeare. My pet peeves include the spelling of anyone's name wrong (I know, random), chatspeak (though I do indulge in a few sarcastic lols, for the lulz), and the misuse of nautical terms. If you can avoid any of that, it would make me very happy. I'm a fan of the 'comment when faving' idea, so if you want to fave any of my stuff, I'd much appreciate it if you'd comment as well!  |
